In a week or two I'll be buying a Paradigm PS-1200 woofer and I need a receiver that my pc can connect to best way possible. I listen to alot of mp3s some cds and I'm going to get a blueray drive in the future.

I'm also going to be buying the CC-390 for a center, I got 2 oldschool towers and I'll prolly get another 2 towers in acouple months.

Oh and my room is 14'x18'

Well, what is the "old school" towers ohm rating? What made you want to pick the sub and center over new mains, and have you auditioned any other gear? What were you using to power the existing towers before? Is there a budget?

They are 8 ohm 120w max, theres a 10",4", and 3" speakers on each
"sony 3 way srround ss-c415" no google info :(
Using a sony str-av970 with no problems whatsoever :D except I gotta use a 3.5mm and there is a tiny fuzz when connected to my computer only. radio and cd's are still really clear.

I wanted that sub because I don't know how much to spend on the receiver lol and I'd like to spend under 2 grand on receiver and woofer for now.
Other than bestbuy or somecrap this is really the only store near me there is also a svs supplier near my work but prices are not listed on their either!!!
Also there are alot of indian audio shops but no websites????????
I'm in canada btw
please reply soon i want receiver tomorrow :D
unless someone can google my receiver and see if i can hook up sub on it so I could get a sub tomorrow instead :D then I would **** myself :p

I vote you ask an Admin or Moderator about changing your screen name, it's vulgar and there are young people that visit this forum on a regular basis.

You're using a little mini-stereo (3.5mm) cable coming out of your computer? Blech... Please get a sound card capable of at least SPDIF. Honestly, if you're going Blu, you should get something HDMI capable as that is what is required for the best sound out of a PC.

My standard response is, get the Yamaha RX-V663. It's cheap, can do almost everything most people need, and has pre-outs to let you add external amp(s) if you need more power in the future.

Unless you could tell me if my integrated soundmax digital hd audio would work fine :D it also has that spliff jack for coaxial/optical and my gfx card had something for sdpif aswell its the 8800gt??could it be helping my sound or anything??????

Does anyone know if I can wire the sub as front speakers???

3.55 to the red/white cords was the only thing the receiver had :( I said it was OLD SCHOOL!!

I think you are calling too much attention to it when it's clear no one is discussing it.

But hey, that's just my opinion.

Using the coax jack should improve sound. You can wire the sub as front if the sub has provisions for it. In that case you connect it as fronts and then connect the fronts to the sub.
