I'm in the process of collecting stuff to finish off my whole home audio project(s).
My goal is for 2 full atmos systems as well as whole home audio distributed in each room with individual controls.
Upstairs currently am running a denon avrx 4500 pair of Def Tech bp8040st, Def Tech cs8060, and 2 pairs of Def Tech sr8040bp for sides and rears. Atmos channels are 2 pairs of sonance vp 82s. Sub is rbh 12a as well as the 3 Def techs up front. This is my everyday living room TV system. The only issue is my rca board **** the bed so I have no rca outputs... So instead of running all 11 channels I'm only running 9... Will be taking my denon in to get serviced. But for now running my sub on high level inputs from the center channel. When I do have rca outputs I have a b&kav5000 or my Sony ta n9000es and a kennwood km x1 running the 11 channels of audio.
Downstairs, goal is 15 channels (min) but currently just running an Integra dtr 60.6, Def Tech BP70006, Def Tech clr 2002, 6x rbh mc414c. I am in the act of putting this all together and haven't cut the holes for my atmos speakers yet because I can't decide if I want to use some of my speakers with back cans or speakers without. I am leaning towards ones with enclosures to limit how much sound translates to upstairs. If I do go with normal ceiling speakers it will be 3 of my pairs of speakercraft aim 8 threes and I will build boxes for them...
If I go with speakers I have that have their own enclosures. I will have to order another pair or 2 to get matching sets, I currently have, Crestron saros 4 pair and a pair of saros 6s, Origin pro 6s, and a pair of tannoys 603 icts. I would probably go with 2 more pairs of the tannoys dual concentrics. But I can make that decision later.
For amplification I have 3 sunfire cinema grands, 2 of which are the signature series, and I have an inuke 6000dsp for subs. Currently I have been using my sunfire super true Junior in rear corner and sunfire signature 12 inch. But I do have a pair of freshly reconed with new old stock cerwin Vega stroker 18ds that I have wanted to use in some big old appropriately sized boxes. If I do go with more channels I have other amps to choose from as well. I have a sherbourn 7x150, and a bunch of pro amps I could use or many 2 channel amps. Plenty of power.
Projector is a Panasonic ae8000 with a 120 inch screen. I have 2 of these because I found them for so reasonable. The first one has a brand new bulb but I bought the second for 60 bucks before I had tested the first because how would I pass that price up for a back up? And it's still a good projector for 1080p and 3d viewing movie theater. Everything is on budget. The only stuff I paid up for were the cinema grands and those are filling the nostalgia roll for me as I use to install high end home theater and full home audio systems in 2000/2001. I always wanted these amps. I still did pretty good on them got the 2 signatures for 700 a piece and the normal one for 350.
Integra dtr 60.6 I got for 170 bucks. First ae8000 was 110 bucks, signature sunfire 12 was 300, super true junior was 100, the rbh mc414cs I got all 6 for 150 bucks total and the other speakers I bought all nib but on auction sites so I got all those for incredibly cheap as well. I've been buying stuff for this since I bought the house 4 years ago. Got the 7006s for 100 local, the clr 2002 was 50 on auction as well. Etc. Etc.
I know there are better amps out there but all my sunfires are dead silent and how you gonna compete with 5 x 405 at 8 ohms x2 and 5 x200? That's insane power...
For whole home audio I am currently using S1 Sonos connects I have 15 of them and I have about 8 of the zp100/120s/amps. I have a full trip lite 42 server rack that I'm loading up, for distributed audio I have a plethora of amplifiers...
Firstly I have a truaudio d16 which is 75 x 16 @8 ohms or 150 x 16 @4 ohms all channels driven. But I just found a 3rd sonance 1230 and am going to compare them running all channels bridged.. Bridged these amps do 60 @8 ohms but with like 5db of headroom all channels driven. Not to mention I didn't pay more than 45 bucks a piece for the 1230s. And I won the d16 for 170... That thing is like a 5k Amp.. I also have a sonance 12-50 and a niles d6.12. Which is just my multi channels amps... I have like a dozen more nice stereo amps as well...
For speakers, I currently am running jbl control 28s in my back yard with jbl control 25s x3 in my upper back yard, jamo x530s in my garage and a pair of advent outdoor speakers on my front porch. They are currently being run by my sonance 260x3/connect a zp120 and an Integra 30.4/connect. I am going to use one of my adcom amps on the 28s, my adcom 5400. To give them some more power.

I know I'm missing some stuff..
I would like to do a full speaker distribution rack. I just don't know what way to go. It's been a long time since I was doing this. But I have been scooping up 14 gauge ofc in 200 foot rolls off amazon for a while. Anytime I see them under 30 bucks. I think I have about 1600 feet of 14 gauge ofc. I have already ran 8 pairs of speaker line. I know a lot more to go but it's a start.
Anyone got any tips on how to do the speaker distribution part of the rack?
*I am having issues with my rca outs on my denon avrx 4500. I would really like to get the unit repaired so I could use external amplification and all 11 channels in that room.
Also I am interested in buying a preprocessor or receiver with at least 15 channel atmos. But I don't feel like dropping 5k. Is that my only option?
