I just purchased Marantz AV20 and Marantz Amp 30. The Amp 30 has a setting for bridging channel1 and2;channels 3 and 4; and channels 5 and 6. I hooked left, right, and center in bridge mode but only got weak sound from only one speaker. The av20 does not have a setting for bridging in the setup menu.
Marantz customer service was not aware of a bridge mode.
Anybody have any experience with bridge mode in a marantz products?

All I can say is that it is a bad idea, and prone to blowing amps. I). Because owners make mistakes. 2). Because it halves the safe impedance load the amp can drive. So generally that means you need speakers they don't dip below 8 ohms in the major power bands. As of this time most speakers do. So I strongly caution you against bridging.

There's no really good reason to bridge, but especially for lower impedance speakers. That amp seems to have sufficient power without bridging, so why are you bridging?
