I hope to see Favre in a Vikes uniform!:D If he's healthy he's probably still in the top 20% of QBs in the NFL. Even Favre at 75% of his former skills is about 1,000% better than T-Jerk!

I really don't care about the 'soap opera' aspect, probably because I don't own a TV and don't follow the gossip closely. It seems to me he was treated very shabbily by the Fudgepackers; this doesn't excuse the way he treated the Jets but no one can say he doesn't give his all on the field.

In Minnie Favre won't need to do it all. Hand it off to AP for a 100-150 yards and pass when you get good looks. Between that and a really stellar defense I think signing him would give the Vikes a pretty good shot at winning the NFC.

I agree. Farve will not need to throw 30-40 passes a game like he did in New York last year and try to be the saviour. Just need him to manage the game and let the running game open up the pass and not try to force it. He is still the master at the play action bomb pass when the time presents itself and he can manage the rest of the game with handing the ball off and throwing the short stuff which he is really, really good at (slants, screens). No need for him to be a gunslinger in Minnesota because they have a lot of talent around him.

Which again goes back to coaching - utilize each players talent together as a team. Far too often do we see the offense push a few defenders, and then just kind of stand around waiting for their paycheck. Perhaps having someone of Favre’s caliber will give them cause to earn their money.

If Favre does end up as the starting QB for the Viqueens, it's going to be weird hearing him get booed at Lambeau.

Can you imagine if he took the Vikings in there - and won?

The universe would implode!

Favre signing for the Vikes would be a huge boon to the Fudgepackers! Young whatever-his-name has been a serviceable replacement for Favre, and the hometown throngs would be evenly split between those Fudgies rooting for their ol' hero and those screaming for his head. And that's really a win/win situation for the Fudgepackers.

To me it all comes down to results. The Vikings seem to obtuse to really look to the future re the QB position. Their moronic coach seems to think, in the absence of any gameplay evidence, that T-Jerk is a real QB, despite his litany of failure. Favre would be an island of competence in an ocean if stupidity.
