I didn't really like it that much. GREAT visuals as always, but I didn't really get into the story.

I honestly still haven't had a chance to watch this, so this will be a good opportunity for me. A few friends have told me the story wasn't exactly thrilling for them, but that the visuals are impressive, and that's fine every now and again.

That is a direct cause of the great visuals. This movie was too realistic at times, and it became hard to believe the characters. I can't imagine that getting any better with a Blu Ray release, but it should at least make for some eye candy.

I thought the story was pretty cool. It was great to see Sephiroth and Cloud fighting again. The music was good too.

It looked great on DVD. I can't wait to see how good it will look on BD.

Just saw this on another forum:

The three versions of the computer-animated Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete feature have reportedly sold over 100,000 Blu-ray Discs on April 16, their first day of release in Japan.

Advent Children Complete is the new edition of Square Enix's computer-animated feature that recounts the story after the Final Fantasy VII role-playing game. Sales of Advent Children Complete were buoyed by the bundling of the Final Fantasy XIII game demo in some versions. It also includes 30 minutes of new footage, the anime adaptation of the Final Fantasy VII spinoff novelette On the Way to a Smile Episode: Denzel, and the new "Safe and Sound" theme song performed by original theme song singer Kyosuke Himuro and My Chemical Romance band co-founder Gerard Way. Advent Children Complete will ship in North America in June.

All Final Fantasy movies.

I love all Final Fantasy movies. Great special animation with great picture and soundtrack.
A lot of work went into these.

It's going to look very good methinks. I really think the scoring was the biggest pitfall of Advent Children followed by voice acting.

"dilly dally, shilly shally!"

WTF?

Inevitable next question: "What does 'Acro' mean?" :p
waste of time, it's something that can be defered with little thought. If it's truly confusing then I will just have to slap Bob in his face.:D

I liked the music. And as for the voice acting, you should have been listening to the Japanese track anyway. So Tifa saying, "Tsuru, Tsuru. Tsuru, tsuru", wouldn't have meant anything. ALL English dubs suck anyway.

There are two good English dubs: Howl's Moving Castle and Spirited Away. Better than average for both.
