The three versions of the computer-animated Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children Complete feature have reportedly sold over 100,000 Blu-ray Discs on April 16, their first day of release in Japan.
Advent Children Complete is the new edition of Square Enix's computer-animated feature that recounts the story after the Final Fantasy VII role-playing game. Sales of Advent Children Complete were buoyed by the bundling of the Final Fantasy XIII game demo in some versions. It also includes 30 minutes of new footage, the anime adaptation of the Final Fantasy VII spinoff novelette On the Way to a Smile Episode: Denzel, and the new "Safe and Sound" theme song performed by original theme song singer Kyosuke Himuro and My Chemical Romance band co-founder Gerard Way. Advent Children Complete will ship in North America in June.
