The ones I have heard were "that" bad. A pair of really cheap bookshelves (Athena B1) utterly blew my brother's 301s away.

(I would also feel sad thinking what a nice system you could get for that same money.)

I'm not a basher of any products it just seems funny that you would spend that kind of money when you own other equipment that many would say is much better.

Is this due to some WAF? And is this an ancronym for something else and you are just getting us to jump?

It was funny my Wife was so against BOSE that she wanted them to remove it (the car is for her) and put something else in there. The dealer was scratching his head and checked into it but it was more costly then just keeping the BOSE. I was just laughing the whole time; I could care less what is in the cars.

I used to care about car audio...then I heard a good HT and realize that the car audio sucks, there are just too many things to detract from the audio experience in cars. Bose is probably better than the stock speakers in a car anyways and if its cheaper then who cares.

I just thought it was ironic that I now own 2 BOSE systems and thought I would give you guys a laugh. It was also kind of neat that the Wife has learned a lot about stereos and was demanding the BOSE out of the car; it was cracking me up and I just let her roll with it.

She wanted a Nissan Pathfinder so that's what she got. I cant really argue when she wants something as she seldom asks for anything and always let's me get my toys.
