I have LG 65c1ptb tv hooked up to Yamaha rx-v4a receiver with 5 speakers and subwoofer. I am trying to get Bluetooth open ear truefree headphones for my husband to connect. they wont connect via Bluetooth on receiver so I bought a Bluetooth transmitter but have been unable to get audio to headphones. if you plug into headphones on tv you can only use headphones and tv speakers, If you plug into headphones on receiver it cuts the speakers. I have the option of optical/rca or 3.5mm but not sure how to actually plug the transmitter in to get audio from either component. I am getting frustrated as it should work at least one way. Please help in laymen's terms how I can get this to work if at possible or what I need to buy to make it work or it can not be done with the equipment I have. thanks for any help or advice

I think the integrated Bluetooth on the Yamaha is to enable a device like a tablet or phone to act as a music source/input.

What bluetooth transmitter did you purchase? I have one I use in my vehicle but again the phone sends the music and it connects to the wired AUX in on my stereo.

This should work for what you want to do...
