Hi,

I bought the BIC Acoustech set, they should arrive soon hopefully:

Sub= H100
Towers= HT75
Center= HT65
Surrounds= HT63

This is my first step out of a HTiB. Now, I need the receiver and DVD Player. I'm leaning towards the Onkyo TX SR605 or, (this is gonna hurt) I can wait a couple months and get the TX SR705. I would like to stay under 500 for now, if the case. For DVD, Blue Ray I guess.

As long as the Onkyo has all the features you are looking for I say go for it. The Acoustechs are very efficient speakers and don't need a lot of power to sound good.

I have a Pioneer 517 powering them in my bedroom.

The Onkyo TX-SR605 will power your speakers fine.

Hey Matt,

How do you like those BIC's ?

you might stretch your budget by considering a factory refurbished unit, sold by an authorized Onkyo reseller (factory warranty is recognized)

http://www.accessories4less.com/cgi-bin/item/ONKTXSR705S

or watch for a sale on www.shoponkyo.com

but the Onkyo SR605 or the Yamaha V661 or the H/K AVR247 would work equally well, if they have the specific inputs/outputs you need.
Thanks for those links, I'm looking for one 705 Black at Accessories4less.com .

I like the Onkyo and the H/K better, besides the H/k comes in silver :(

The Onkyo TX-SR605 will power your speakers fine.

Thanks Seth,
I'm pretty sure it'll be the 605 or 705. But, if any of you guys have more sujestions ... will be very welcome!
