I watched it over the weekend. Very interesting. The lack of narration pushes it to a different level and has the impact they were intending. It shows both the beauty and mystery of the world itself, but also people and all of our idiosyncrasies. The audio and video are quite impressive.
I prefer the BBC Planet Earth series to this film, but this film has a definite impact as well. I'd say this one is a MUST SEE.
I watched this over the weekend. Stunning video and good audio.
Some of the video was a bit skewed in places from them using wide angle lenses which was kind of weird. I watched it on a TV that is 52" though, on a 100"+ TV it probably would have made it feel more like IMAX.. so, it might have been a problem on my end.
I watched it with my girlfriend and we went back and forth on the lack of narration. We both agreed it would have been nice to have a subtitle feature where it would give the location where the footage was and you could be able to turn it on and off. Some places I would have liked to know where it was filmed.
I started watching the special feature about "the making of" but as soon as that smug hippie started talking I had to turn it off because it was going to ruin my thoughts of the movie.
