Unless Zumbo is like really good looking,
I think he should be having a pretty serious talk with the mother. :D

Seeing pics of happy babies is even better than DIY speaker wire.
Having both is giving me the warm fuzzies. :)

Realeased From The Neurologist

Cayla has been released from the neurologist, and has no further need for any special doctors. 15 months now.

I have been busy building my new drum kit. This is a Mapex Pro M Maple kit. It is a natural gloss lacquer finish. Cymbals and hats are Zildjian A Custom, and all hardware/stands/pedals are DW 5000 series. I replaced all of the stack heads with a variety of Evans heads, and replaced the stock snare wire with PureSound Equalizer snare wire. The kit sounds amazing. This is my second Mapex set.

Yep, D7's. Purchased new in 1985. They rocked back then, but sound pretty rough compared to the MB Quarts. Let me rephrase, they sound like $#!t.;)

LOL! I also had a later model with 12's that I purchased after the D7's. Running four took too much off of my system back then, so I through the new one's in the back of my Supra:eek:. They slammed pretty good back there, but the new model tweeters sucked. Someone smashed my window, and stole them. I guess they needed them more than I did.:D

What a thread! My jaw dropped open upon reading the first post, and it's absolutely terrific that she is doing so well now! Happy Fatherhood to you, it's such a blessing, but you already know that.

And sweet drums too!

I'm fine with that...as long as its her only one....:D.

Hey Zumbo, my little guy was born with meconium aspiration and was very ill. For the most part all the news in the beginning was mostly all bad.:( Now, he is 9yrs old and we haven't looked back...we were lucky...for sure, thank God.:)

I've gone on vacation from AH several times when I get really busy, so I missed the activity on this thread all along, but it's great to read through it all and see your daughter doing so well. You're blessed. All you guys with children are so blessed, and I hope someday to be like you in that regard. My wife and I have been going through fertility treatments and procedures for going on 2 years now with no luck, and it really makes me look at children differently than I did years ago when I thought there was always plenty of time to have them. I was actually in the fertility doctor's office today making my contribution to the project.....(yes I mean that...) and in the magazine I was thumbing through there was a section of electronics and audio equipment. I was reading the section about new receivers for a good minute before I realized I had been distracted by audio equipment porn... HA! I love this hobby. Is that over sharing? Yes, but what the heck. Most of we regulars here are friends or should be if not.

I just wonder what the next "reader" will think, when he sees stains on the audio equipment photos.....:D
