But Since Your Asking For Others Opions I Would Opt For The Bw 803d & Never Look Back. I Own Them & I Think They Are One Of The Best Sounding Tweeters Period.

They Love Power & Their Build Quality Is Far Superior. Believe Me When I Tell You They Have All The Bass/midrange/topend You Could Want, Unless You Can Drop Like $250,000 On Cali Audio Or Wilsons.

The 802d Is Probably The Best Speaker In The World For The Price, But Like You Said Price!

I will say the 802D is one of the better [monopolar] speakers in the world regardless of price. The only speaker that I know of that is slightly superior is the YG Acoustics full-range speaker. But it's far more expensive, and just barely superior in terms of FR linearity as compared to the 802D. The YG's cabinet is not quite as inert as the 802D, but it's not far off. Off axis response is a bit smoother with the YG Acoustics.

If you will just add on a device like a DCX2496 to the 802D, I don't see how any other monopolar speaker at any price could have a substantially better sound. The 802D is essentially a neutral blank slate suitable for such manipulation. I will go so far as to say most more expensive speakers are inferior in actual performance.
