Axiom M22 vs. Paradigm 20 Speakers

The Paradigm Studio 20s are excellent speakers. I have had my eye on them for some time now at Ovation. They are very accurate, and well constructed. They have a very seductive sound, detailed, and render vocals extremly well. I really like the speakers, but I cannot afford them, or at least justify getting them at this point. My NHT 1.5's are doing me fine for now.

B&W would be on my top of the list for speakers under 1K...

Actually, I do disagree with this statement. I was so disappointed with the ones I had that the experience forced me to look elsewhere. Elsewhere ended up being a pair of Axiom M22s. My short, and I do mean short, in home audition with the B&W 602s3 bookshelves with my trusty Yamaha HTR-5280 AVR was the most disappointing audition I've ever had with any product ever. I've never received an adequate reply to why these sounded so bad. I even emailed B&W and their reply was very unsatisfactory. So much for customer service. :(
What's the big deal? Some people B&W speakers and some don't. You do not. Happens all the time. Some people like cream in their coffee and some don't.

Make mine light with two sweet and low.

Its not a big deal. In fact its great. It explains why you got to take the speakers home and try them. Some Rooms and some ears just dont work with some speakers. I like my coffee black, and my speakers British:)

Its important to note that there is disagreement in the world of sound. Its why we cant sit here and tell people BUY this product. The market place is so competitive, and very few companies can produce the quality of speakers we are talking about at the price points mentioned.

I am happy to see B&W speakers used. I am going to be buying some of them:)

I don't drink coffee at all. I like the Stuido 20s better than the M22s or the 602s, but neither the 602s or the M22s are in the same price range as the Studio 20s (MSRP).
