Sheep, have you actually listented to both subs, or are you speculating based on measurements? I am not trying to be an arse, I am just curious.

FR is great, and I am a big advocate of it, but if it sounds good to the individual purchasing it, then measurements don’t matter. There is no way to actually listen to every speaker/sub out there, so the measurements definitely help narrow the choices down. But there are folks out there unlike you and I that just don't care how "accurate" or realistic the system sounds. Most folks just want obnoxious boom boom blow your windows out bass. If that is what they like, then I am not going to argue with them.

I based my origonal opinion on measurements. After all, they explain what we hear.

Plus, its not "just" FR. Its FR, THD, PC, and GD.

Though it seems the test conditions for Ilkka's test were flaud, and so are the results.

Don't discount measurements. If you like the way something sounds, its ideal to measure it and find products with similar measurements.
