AV123 X-ls Encore Monitor Speakers and Sub

Looking to purchase a budget 3.1 setup in my living room, which measures roughly 12ft x 18ft. I like what I've read regarding the AV123 X-ls monitor speakers and sub. What is recommended for the center channel speaker? Should I get the AV123 center channel speaker or another monitor? I've heard some say forget about center channels and just get another monitor. Would also like any recommendations on solid budget receivers...I don't have a hi-def panel yet, but will probably purchase one towards the end of 08, along with a blue-ray player.

I think another monitor would also work as a center speaker. I did 5 identical monitor speakers + Sub (NHT) for about 10 years.

I don't think it would be a bad thing to go either way. Nothing wrong with using a monitor for a center, and I do think they'll sell you a single one so they don't think it is a bad idea. There is nothing wrong with their center though.
