we wouldn't go complaining about it if it didn't work.
Yeah but that's only because all the other kids would make fun and laugh. ;)

HA HA !!! :p :D

I didn't read the whole thread but I like what I see on this page.

We got any name calling yet? :)

Edit: I mean on the previous page.

Seems like the OP should have been immediately notified when his order was cancelled and why it was cancelled.

Sure we would...but not on the open forum. Well, at least, not in a thread attacking the very store from which we're trying to get a deal. :D

Agreed and perhaps the folks at the AH E-store need to check to make sure that fail safe is in place for all canceled orders.

Its not the deal, although one would be awesome. Its the fact that you guys rip on B&M stores and are not better. All I wanted was a little customer service, and got none. Audioholics store has been no better than those stores. Here is a quote on why to buy from you. Its not my fault you guys had a coupon code active, its yours. You guys should be either eating the loss or find me the most comparable product with a darn good deal.
Good suggestions. It doesn't seem the Audioholics E-store is the right place for you. I recommend you try Amazon or Crutchfield as you will likely be happier over there.

You are correct, I did use that coupon code, which was valid at the time of use. It may not have been advertised, but it worked and the discount was taken off. I still have not received a call back from your GM about the issue, which I requested multiple times. Although reluctantly, I understand if that price cannot be honored, but a deal of some sort should definitely be made. Order #206039, get someone on it.
So you used a coupon code on a product that no where on the site was advertised as on sale yet you think you should somehow be compensated because you found a fault in the on-line system? I agree you should have gotten a big fat "no dice" email from the start but to start kicking the dirt because you weren't successful in your shenanigans seems a bit childish.

I suggest the Audioholics store have a disclaimer such as this in the future:

"Prices and availability of products and services are subject to change without notice. Errors will be corrected where discovered, and Audioholics E-Store reserves the right to revoke any stated offer and to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions including after an order has been submitted..."

Try this mind set with the IRS when they accidentally refund you too much money. I guarantee you'll be paying it back instantly or with interest.

A mistake is a mistake. Just because it was in your favor, to start, does not mean that it will remain in your favor. Any store is under zero obligation to honor a glitch in the system. If you thought it was a mistake to begin with the proper thing would be to notify the store of the supposed mistake instead of telling the world to take advantage of it.

Integrity is sorely missing from society.

Heck, it would be one thing if he was only kicking the dirt, aw shucks, but what gets me is when someone can act so indignantly over something like this.

$300 for an Oppo. C'MON!

Reminds me of when I drove to the scene of a minor accident to help out my friend who got rear ended, and the person who ran into her was the one being indignant about the whole thing, even though it was simply that my friend had to slow down because the bus in front of her was stopping. The story is totally unrelated, except for the similarity in my being taken aback by such indignation.

I understand that, I told you its not about the price at this point. All its about is trying to get some damn service. You guys have done nothing to try and retain a future customer. I would not ever rule out a company if they give me the best service they can, but that hasnt happened.
I told you guys its not about getting a deal, just some customer service. Even Gene said I should be notified, thats all I really wanted. But its too late, especially after the way I have been treated for trying to have civil conversation about it. The majority of you Mods have been sarcastic and rude and can't have a "grown up" conversation. Also I am not obligated to tell the store about their own pricing problems, its their job to make sure that everything is priced properly.

Of course Im going to try and get a deal if I can, who wouldn't? Why pay $500 when I can pay $300. I wasnt scheming or trying to get around the system. They system did that on its own and I was lucky to randomly try a code and it worked. Bluray.com and audioholics.com have a hotdeals thread so that people can find good deals on products. That was a good deal and I posted it as I should have.
So let me get this straight:

1. You received a Save 40 coupon code for the AH store via the grapevine

2. You knew that the code was only good for A/B/C but some how the system let you use in on X/Y/Z

3. You're surprised that your order didn't go through and you are wondering why since the AH store didn't contact you?

I own a software dev firm and now it's confirmed I'm not that only one that has to deal with people that think in your particular manner.

The fact that you require the AH store to call you and tell you something you already know from the get go is simply astounding.

I'll agree on a point of technicality that you should have had an email or other notification telling you what you already knew however:rolleyes:

How am I supposed to know that if a coupon code gets accepted and that I get a confirmation that my order had already been accepted for a lower price that it will eventually get canceled?

When it's not listed on the site for one. That's one of the chances you take by ordering through an automated system.

Because YOU KNEW before hand that the coupon wasn't valid for all products site wide. Now your just playing at being stupid.

Look, years ago when it was HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray the DVD box set of The Matrix Trilogy was being blown out for $29.99.

They also had mistakenly priced the HD-DVD the same. I tried taking advantage of it knowing FULL WELL that it was a mistake and that I might not get it.

Guess what: It was no big surprise when my tracking # never showed up.

You are here acting the innocent and un-aware party. Which is far from the truth. And while you're at it your are insulting collective intelligence of people that damn well know what you were up to. That is my biggest problem with this entire thread you started.

What makes you think I know anything of how internet sites run a business? Have you ever thought that I really am un-aware? You guys obviously are more intelligent than me in this case, and instead of being understanding of my situation you decide to be rude.

This thread is a hoot.

Some loser tries to scam the system, brags about it on another website and then comes over here trying to claim the high moral ground.

Wotta show.

But it was about getting a deal, as you left the A neighborhood and entered the B neighborhood posting about this "Deal" that "you" found you made it quite obvious that is all about a deal. If you felt like it was in error and you deserved some what more of a hands on customer service why not just keep it to your self and eventually the store as really that is where it should have stayed, but you decided not to do that, instead you wanted to share this great "deal' with others so back to your first sentence It is about a Deal , A deal that you are not entitled to, period. I remember some bad management and bookkeeping on my on-line bank account by myself and the balance albeit wrong as posted by me actually stayed in place on-line and I thought wow I just banged the bank good well I never did collect the extra 227,000.00 I typed in on the puter but I did spend the 22.70 and you know my bank caught on darn it, .

I always thought when we posted in such a forum over a few years or well any given time for that matter we kinda become a family albeit an internet family we are still friends and always looking for advice , sometimes not even audio related just everyday issues so why, I ask , why would you, knowing a mistake has been made, still go ahead and want to exploit this mistake with another group of people to take advantage of what are supposed to be friends, is it just business so to speak , just one mans way to achieve personal gain at some one else expense, not kewl at all down right un-kewl.
