My opinion is that you cannot really not accept Chuck's explanation, since he gave you his source. You can only make a correction, which you did.

Not accepting implies purposeful deceit, and I believe you have no grounds for that, and probably didn't intend it to be taken as such. <forrest>and that's all I have to say about that...</gump>

Party on...

My opinion is most burners out in the market can do audio pretty good as long as the person doing the burning knows his/her job. EAC is a must for proper audio copying with a PC.

No particular burner manufacturer can claim to be an audio specialist.

Thanks Hawke,

It was clear to me that the guy was just trying to make trouble. Any fool could see that I quoted my source, and he even quoted me quoting my source. Such people make audio forums a very unpleasant place, and I'll continue posting here after that jerk is banned. His attack was no mistake. It was unprovoked, deceptive, and intentional. As long as he can post here, I cannot.

I don't deal with a-holes, because it is so easy to avoid them. I’m sure he won’t take it personally, but his guy is first class.

Party on,

Chuck

Since this thread began I have relied on the informative responses of many knowledgable individuals. Certainly a great deal more information then requested!
I do appreciate all this assistance and must make the following report.
I did purchase a Sony RCD-W10. Talk about "Simple/Stupid"!
My very first attempt at recording an album to CD-R is a complete success!
There is no Brain Surgery involved, just make a few settings and spin the album and a great sounding CD is recorded.
I am sure many of you experts could do a better job and produce a cleaner recording omitting some of the snaps and crackles of the vinyl format but to my old ears, this is music in it's original form and I am now able to take it with me in my vehicle which is what I requested. Thank you to all who guided me to this end.
