Atari RCA Connection help

i need to convert a single RCA hook up into three RCA hook ups

its the connection to an old Atari. its a cord running out of the Atari and its a single RCA cord that audio and video both go through and theres no way to hook it up unless i can split the signal into three RCA cords

Also, why did you not simply answer the questions posted on your original thread you responded to only 30 minutes before you started this one? Couldn't wait for an answer?

But, I can't think of any single "RCA" connection that contains both audio and video and I've been aroud since long before Atari's hit the market. Possibly an RF signal that had both, but not audio and video directly. Without more info, you're outta luck.

Like they said in your other thread, pictures would help. Pictures of all the hardware involved. Maybe even a model number. Throw us a bone here.

have you gone to Radio Shack yet? Just show they what you have, and thell them what you are trying to do, they will likely have what you need.

Here's the pic its on the end of an Atari and i need to turn it into three connectors

all i want to do is convert it to three RCA connectors rather than one, right now the audio and video are both traveling through the same one (in the pic) but i want to change it to travel through the standard yellow red and white three RCA cords

Well then, try a coupola "Y" connectors.

It'll give you the three RCA connections you so desire, but don't bet on it doing what you want.

you may have to use the adapter that was mentioned in the other thread, and connect that part to the f-connector, and if you must have the red, white, and yellow connectors, use an adapter for that.

It may look like a video out cable, but if you plug it into the video (yellow) port of a TV or VCR it won't work. The Atari output cable is an RF cable designed to play on US TV channel 3 or 4. There are several options available at Radio Shack to hook it up properly. Female Phono Jack to Male F-Connector will plug onto the end of your video game's RF cord and allow it to connect directly to the back of a TV via the 75ohm cable connector

no its not an F-connector, this is really old school stuff though its just one single RCA cord that runs out of the Atari and there is sound on the television when I'M playing it and video so i assumed that both audio and video travel through it

yea i know the part about changing it to a f-connector already Rickster71, i just want to convert it to an RCA so i can plug it up into my reciever

is a y-connector what changes one RCA into two or three or somthing markw?

if so that kinda doesnt make sence cause i feel it needs to have some device in the connector to split the signal

Does the TV have audio out?
It may be easier to hook that to a receiver.

You don't understand.
A receiver won't take an RF signal and do what you want with it.
You are confusing the type of connection with the type of signal it's carrying.
Does your TV have a red and white RCA audio-out. If so, hook that to the receiver.

One last shot at this.
Send the RF through the input on a VCR and let that convert the whole thing to composite, that can be sent into the TV and a receiver.

As said in the other thread (WHY TWO THREADS?)... This is the adapter to take the RCA connection to an industry standard F-type connector to connect to the back of your VCR...

The Atari used to come with a box which did this and allowed for cable/Atari connections.

hey i can do that allready Rickster71 i want to be more organized and connect it to RCA inputs on a switch box rather than to a the an f male on a television

note: the switchbox goes to the reciever then to the television

ok I discovered a sollution
this is what im gonna do

im gonna use these two

will this work?? i want the RCA hook ups on the (RCA CRF907) RF Modulator
to be output instead of input so i can connect RCA wires from the RF Modulator to the television or receiver
