hi, i recently bought an ebony wood sculpture from indonesia. got back home and the statue has started to develop cracks. everyday i see new and big ones. its a beautiful statue. i do not know what to do and how to stop furthur cracks. please help. I still suspect that the wood was not kiln dried before it was carved. Unfortunately, if attempting that polyu glue is not an option, not sure sealing the surface will help. Short of placing it in an airtight glass jar with lots of constant humidity, it will continue to crack until the wood has stabilized.
