I have to say, that the C6b looks to be a classic example of how you design a speaker that measures really well, but but is a limited design.
The issue is that you can test an amp at power, but not a speaker.
I see this again and again, speaker designers totally oblivious of the power band response to reproduce most music, especially in the classical realm.
I can tell you there is no tweeter on Earth of that size that can handle the power band response at a 1 KHz crossover. The power in that range is enormous and at 1 KHz is psychoacoustically appears to the brain as actually in the bass decade. That is why you perceive it to be bass shy in my view.
That is a mistake I learned not to make a long time ago. Anyone who designs a speaker needs to be familiar with the power band/frequency characteristic of a wide variety of music. It always seems to me that in this area too many speaker designers don't have a clue.
