1) A/V is cheaper than girlfriends. If you disagree, try taking a girl out for less than the cost of a blu-ray.
2) A/V will not dump your drink on you nor complain about you to its friends
3) A/V will never mess around on you
4) Other dudes won't try and take your A/V while your getting a drink at the bar (usually)
5) Trying other A/V won't have you ending up taking 2 weeks of antibiotics.

1. Well i spend around $3000 on my A/V equipment and i would have to say i have never spent that much on a girl. even ones that i have dated for over 6 months. I was listening to some music (Paramore) that is targeted at people half a generation younger than me, and it got me thinking about my high school days. Being an audioholic, you think of most everything in terms of a) audio b) video or c) psychoacoustics, so I started wondering why I never "made out" in a theater with a girl.

I have always wondered why people like to go to strip clubs, unless they are fronts for houses of prostitution. Who wants to get all worked up, and then have no release? To me, that is worse than nothing.

I can understand someone being interested in visiting a prostitute, though I would never pay for sex myself. The idea that someone doesn't really want to have sex with me, but just wants my money, is something I find very off-putting.
