you sound like you just want to get on the "I hate Apple" bandwagon. I dont hate apple, I hate the ipod, becuase its overpriced, and I've used one. LOOK AT THAT, and apple hater who has a justified reason for disliking their products, amazingz!

I was mistaken. Foxconn does actually build the iPods for Apple. I can understand that Apple didn't know this prior to June 2006 or so, but Foxconn still builds their iPods, and this product was released quite recently. Don't you find it hypocritical that they use unacceptable working conditions to produce a product that is allegedly doing good for the world? I personally find it deceiving. Apple is currently performing an audit on Foxconn to determine whether or not the working conditions are acceptable, and so far it sound like they aren't very good.
Foxconn: iPod sweatshop claims a "vicious attack"
iPod City: inside Apple's iPod factories
Inside Apple's iPod factories
To say that it's not Apple's problem, it's Foxconn's is just ignorant. They are obviously supporting Foxconn financially by building so many iPods. Even if Apple was only buying parts from them, I still think it would be hypocritical.
Dude, did you read my post.
APPLE DOESNT OWN FOXCONN, its not apples problem, its foxconn's.

That's very true. Foxconn builds many products for many companies, not to mention the many other companies that exploit their workers. But the fact that they are taking the very product that is assembled through worker exploitation and badging it as philanthropy is disgusting.
Once again.
Can you just stop posting.
AID's, and Foxconn's employee working condition have absouletly nothing to do with each other (unless they get aid's as a workers benefit
)
Foxconn just makes them, its apple's choice wether they want to make it look red or donate the profits to charities, not foxconn's.
The workers are just doing they're jobs.
Here's a brilliant idea!!!
Dont buy an ipod if you feel so strongly about the subject, hurp dur!
