APC RS1300 Replacement Battery

The APC brand's own replacement battery model RBC109 for the RS1300 is retailing at C$99.99 which I find a little too costly.

Has anyone any experience with the more affordable AJC brand batteries?

you absolutely don't have to buy the original APC-branded battery. I've bought these in the past with success:

You just need bit of double-sided tape and to transfer the jumper cable to new batteries.

No. It's a lead acid battery.

I have replaced many lead acid batteries and never overpay for APC. I would have to check work to see which outfit I used last, but something like batteryspecialist.ca in Burlington, ON. You need to check two things. One is the voltage and amp/hour rating but amp/hour is not critical as long as you're close. It will affect run time. If a higher amp/hour is available for the same size and voltage, I usually go for that. The other thing is size! Carefully measure your original and check the size of the replacement. Sometimes they can vary by several mm and that's all it takes not to fit into your UPS. If it is a common battery size or type, I'll just run down to the local electrical wholesaler and buy in town. Deep cycle batteries run longer but will cost more. They're not available in as many sizes though.

once you disassemble your original batteries, you'll see that the original batteries are assembled similarly.
The link I provided is a proper replacement from a brand I trust. but, YMMV

I have the APC 1500, Ive had it for over 6 years, Replaced the battery once, (knocking on wood ). Ordered the replacement APC battery , replaced it ( super easy) and took the old battery to our county recycle center. Easy.
