ok so i have two. technics sa-ex100's reciver amps. (i do like the amp, class h+ "dont ask me what the + is about")
and 1 of them is powering 2x jamo power laser 2000p's
the other one is powering 2x technics sb-f90's (honey comb)
all the speakers are floor standing.
the technics produce the most bass so i have them on the floor, then the jamos sit on top of them.
Personally i find this to be a very nice rounded setup. as the tweeters of the technics are at eye level when im sat, and then the tweeters of the jamos are at eye level when im standing,
I really like the setup but for some reason others seem to think i could have done better,
A freind of mine is running some B&W's through i think a merants amp. and he tells me he really likes the sound from my system, the fidelity and range, but he also says he thinks his B&W's are better (is this just a case of "my child is always going to be better than your child) because i really dont see how his is better,
At low volume levels with my set up everything is very audable. and at 50% power you would be hard pressed to stay in the room for a long time as it is simply to loud. "no distortion"
I chose the setup for the 0.5% thd and the power to drive the bass drivers "i like a clear and powerful bass"
Basically how much better could i get my set up if i started sinking a few more £100 in to it. and would it be worth it. i dont see how the sound quality can impreve by enough to warant any serious money spent.
