Just picked up his latest CD Is there Love in Space?. As usual it absolutely rocks. Up In Flames and Hands In the Air are very good. There is alot of good stuff on this recording with lots of very good bass.

Any other fans out there?

I have his Animal Instinct recording which is quite good. I haven't heard any of his newer stuff. I shall check some of it out.

I think the new one is a little better than Strange Beautiful Music but not quite as good as Engines of Creation. Satch is pretty much God to me; I just picked up the new "*3" DVD, and I'll crank it up as soon as I get back home.

Bummer, though, that I've only found Is There Love In Space on CD- the last couple are out on SACD.

Is that the one with Steve and Yngwie? I bet that one is really good. I have not seen it yet. I do have his Live In San Francisco DVD which is excellent. It is the first time I've seen him live. I really like Flying In a Blue Dream on that recording with all of the blue lighting, and Stu Hamm is playin' the bass. They make those songs look so effortless.

His latest is different from the others considerably.
The wife is out for a while, so 'scuse me while I go crank up Up In Flames. :D

Yeah, it's the one with Vai & Yngwie. Yngwie is also a God to me- to see the two greatest living rock guitarists (YJM & Satch- JMOHO) together on the same stage must be awe inspiring. The Satch in San Fran is a super disc, with pretty darned good sound for regular DVD video.

I have all his albums (remastered & the originals) up to & including Flying In A Blue Dream. After that there was a stretch of stuff I thought was a little below his usual standard, but I started buying again with Crystal Planet. It wasn't my favorite, but it had a few great ones and was a step back on the road to greatness.

I'll never forget when I first heard Yngwie's first album back in the mid 80's, Rising Force. Wow! Yup I think I will get the *3 recording. Hmmm, maybe I can use it to break in my new DVD player
(Philips DVD963SA) when it arrives.

I picked up the *3 DVD. It rocks! Yngwie's right hand is the closest thing to a buzz-saw I've ever seen. Wow! :D
