Hi I currently have 5 channel audio and was wondering what receiver I should get. I was thinking of getting a sub but that would be a later investment. My Speaker Specs are as Follows:
2 Floorstanders:
Midrange 1 x 8" + 1 x 6.5" high-power drivers,Nominal Impedance 8 ohms, Power 300 watts (RMS),Efficiency 92dB,Frequency Response 30 - 22,000Hz, Size 1180h x 252w x 365d
1 Centre: 150rms,8ohms nominal impedience,50w x 175h x 185d
2 surround:
8ohms nominal impedience,150 watts (RMS),340h x 175w x 185d
Basically I am going to hopefully use them for home use mainly and then take the floorstanders to parties. I was hoping to find a good receiver which can do this, I'm willing to spend around the $300-400 range for one and i was also thinking that if more power was necessary for the floorstanders that at a later time I would get a 2 channel amp for around the same mark which I could rig up with the receiver to add power to the floorstanders, any idea's to what receiver and amp I should get would be greatly appreciated, Willing to spend around the same mark for an amp maybe a little cheaper,Thanks

I have the HTR-5860 which is the same receiver as the model listed above. Your are more likely to find the HTR model in the price range you listed. It has the pre-amp outputs you need for connection of an external amplifier in the future.
