Score, baby!” finally, a chance to play with satellite radio and perhaps convince both of us that the benefits outweighed the costs. Now, the purpose of this review is to evaluate the hardware, not XM radio as a whole… so this is the last I will speak of the service. I’ll leave it up to each of you to decide if the monthly charge is worth the return.</P>

Good review of an interesting product.

To listen to 3 different XM channels using the tripplePlay do you need 3 different XM subscriptions or just one? Also, which Yamaha products will support the XM 5.1 audio signal? I have a couple of XM car receivers and also a Yamaha HTR-5860 that is "XM ready".

Thanks. For your first question, 3 different subscriptions. For the second, its the XM HD surround powered by Neural Audio. The Yamaha models that will support it are the RX-V459, V559, and V659.

Neat product. However 2000 dollars and three subs is a lot of loot for background music. Your review of the sound quality was less than glowing, far from critical listening quality it seems. Unless I am drawing to many conclusions.
