It's been a long time since I last posted and I need some good advice. I have a large room I use for my home theater about 800 sq ft. I have a 7.2 setup using a Marantz SR5008 receiver I was thinking of getting a Marantz power amp can I get away with a 2 channel or does it need to be 5 channel? I have never had a power amp before so will improve my setup or is it just wasting money? Thanks for any help

You can put an amp on whatever channels you choose. Some people are satisfied with just the front right and left channels to "amp up" their stereo listening and a two-channel amp will work there. Or, you can boost all channels. Whichever you think you need.
