I think he said the changes were a bit more involved than some of the others, so he opted to build these himself. Plus they are currently readily available speakers.

Right--I just don't feel comfortable trying to document all of the steps and encouraging people to try something they might regret. I'm actually caught up with the backlog and will start taking new orders shortly. I'll keep selling until I run out of my current supply of stock 22's, and then I'll confine my activities to the center and to the 52's, which I think benefit more from a mod. My simple mod (just a tweeter swap and an additional capacitor) will make the 22's perfectly acceptable as surrounds, and that's easily done in the field.

Ooops--I'm afraid the 52 mod is really complicated. It requires you to build a new and complex crossover board, which operates in addition to the stock board. And you have to understand the tricky woofer wiring and get everything spliced in correctly.

For $3 an hour - he needs all the work he can get.
However, for the towers - he should get at least, a $1 an hour raise.
