I'm selling lots more of these $150 speakers than my $3500 jobs. Go figure.
That's like saying Benz sells a lot more C Class cars than SLS AMG :p.

Seriously though, Pioneers AJ have unquestionably placed themselves at the top of the budget/best back for least bucks segment. Given your crossover wizardry and fame, I'm not surprised if a lot of folks stop recommending stock BS/CS22 and send everyone to your site. I know I will.

So is Dennis more like Gandalf or the Wizard of OZ? Can we get of picture of him in a robe, staff, and pointy hat?

If that is the case - then I will change my mind :) - there is an older Andrew Jones
designed Pioneer, the SDF-1K - however, only 1 available at this time on Ebay > A
good price for $100 > I use to own the SDF-2K and the SDF series is nice - The 2k
had a 10 element crossover inside. Also, the SDF series sold for more than the Pio
phase (1) and phase (2) Pioneer speakers. > There were 3 different bookshelf pairs
with 5, 6 and 8 inch woofers - from $179 to $299. The center $189 - Sub $399.

I've heard the 1K and 2K and they were surprisingly good little speakers at the time. I was quite shocked that they were Pioneers.

I've checked and rechecked my measurements, and I swear there is no dip at 62 Hz. It appears that I've completely bought out all of the Pioneers from my supply source, along with the tweeters. They hope to get them back in by Monday, and then I can fill more orders. I'm selling lots more of these $150 speakers than my $3500 jobs. Go figure.
Just take my money

Isn't this project a bit of a waste of time?
It is fine that you don't get it. In which case, you shouldn't post in this thread.

Why do you ask?

All you need to do is to look one inch above his question. It says clearly in black and white. "TheStalker a forum troll idiot that just begs for attention."
Benign curiosity, as opposed to immediate hostility, but enough tangential conversation. Feel free to PM me with future queries instead of taking the thread further off topic ;)

Pioneer needs to hire Ed Mullen and crate a proper sub to complement AJ mains.
It would be nice if Pioneer would put out a better sub - however, with the good
ID sub companies out there, it is easy to find a nice one. With the Murphy mod
AAL speakers, no Doctor Mushy Boom subs need to apply.

True, but it would still be nice to see a $200-350 sub out there with reasonable SPL capabilities and extension to match up with these. Something like the Baby Boomer that Jeff Bagby has a kit for on Meniscus, but in commerical form.

I'm considering replacing my NHT SuperOne/SuperCenter setup with these....

You need to stop being condescending. NO ONE on this website fills these forums with useless filler more than you.

For one on a tight budget, who does not want to assemble a kit
the HSU STF-2 can be a nice option.

I know, that's why I said in commercial form, meaning already built. Not that the Hsu isn't a good sub, but when I referenced the Baby Boomer I was also thinking of small form factor. That sub and my own riff on the Baby Boomer are both under a cubic foot. Very small, with excellent SQ in an extremely small package. Which I think would fit in perfectly with the AAL's.

These look interesting, but if the Philharmonitors are going for $90 a pop as mentioned on the comparison section, that's the way I'd go :D

I saw that right when Fuzz posted it. I ordered 10 pairs.

:D

Not really...
