Adding a Rotel power amp

I've been using an RX-V2400 for about 7 months now in a 5.1 configuration, and after reading all of the information on this forum about misleading power numbers I decided to add a seperate power amp for at least my front channel speakers.

I found a great deal on a Rotel RMB-1066. This is naturally a 60W in to 6 channel amplifier, but I plan on using it in bridged mode to power the front spekaers as well as my center channel. In bridged mode it will provide 150 watts to each channel. I imagine this will relieve the amplifier section of my receiver quite a bit.

Now for my question. Is this a good diea. Should I be mixing amplifiers like this? Does using the Rotel in bridged mode affect sound quality at all? How will I balance the sound coning from each speaker now? Any help would be appreciated.

While you will definitely get more power I believe it will be accompanied by higher a level of distortion. Personally, I have my RX-V2400 connected to one five channel amp, Adcom 7605 (100 watts x 5) and two Outlaw M-200 mono black amps, (200 watts x1) and I get great, clear sound.
