Another vote for DBPoweramp ripper...switched from EAC, looking for something my wife can use to rip FLAC. EAC is a bit too technical, DBpoweramp has been working perfectly, even though I'm only using the free version. FLAC is the way to go!
What the Reference version brings to the party is one year of database access for the auto-tagging feature ($5/yr after that) and batch conversion. As I said I rip to flac then make MP3 copies. With the batch converter I can just flag new folders in the flac directory and it will create and organize the MP3 directory's folders the way I want them and name the files the way I want them with a single click. That's nice when you've just bought 3 or 4 new CDs.
