ABC is usually pretty impartial so better them than CNN.

I doubt they leave it one sided. Still I am all for National Healthcare amongst other things.

I have no problem with my taxes paying to keep people healthy. But then again, I'm far from the typical American...

Even though many folks on the left would like to see a government plan, I don't see it passing Congress. The government plan is nothing more than a scare tactic aimed at the private insurers.

H'll... I can't afford health care. Something needs to be changed. Got a baby on the way. Switching to the family plan means an extra $60 a week that we don't have.

I hear ya. My benefits aren't great honestly, but if the gov is pushing for everyone to have access to these types of plans, it's far better than nothing.

And contrary to popular belief, health benefits for gov and mil employees is nothing to write home about. :(

But again, I count my blessings and am grateful that at least I have something. I feel bad for the people who need, for example, colon cancer treatment and are basically faced with the choice of dying quickly and miserably or living miserably in horrible debt.

This healthcare plan is not going to be free. It will end up costing EVERYONE more in the long run. The government has no concept of wisely spending money. The taxes will be called something else or hidden in other programs but that is the only way the government can pay for anything....raise taxes.
I'm guessin' it would be cheaper to just provide insurance for those who need it but they should pay something, even if it's very little.
The medical savings account is really the only way to get insurance and medical costs down. Everyone would shop around for a better price thus bringing real competition to this section of the economy, which has no REAL competition right now.

What I found interesting is that a single media network was aiding the president to push a proposal without debate:eek: Im really not for national health care as many supplement plans are currently in place, leaving the question why have the government oversee all of it. The 1 in 3 dollars spent by the government to implement this seems excessive. My growing concern is the size of what the Feds have direct control of. jmtc

I am amazed that anyone with an once of sense could believe that the Government could run healthcare. They will screw it up just like most everything they touch. How is your social security looking. It is the government who created the problem by giveing free healthcare to illegals and overwhelming the system and now they say they will fix it???? What a crock of BS.

They had it for the last 8 years. It wasn't even equal, it was exclusive.

There's much the government does wrong, but there's more that it does right. It's amazing to me how much people take for granted.

really.. If your refering to Tony Snow, he was employed bt the WH. I cant recall a single network giving time to a president to propose agenda without debate

And thats how it should be doing right, not wrong and thats why it needs to be limited in its powers over the states.

No worries about the government since everything is now transparent.
I would have expected this sort of boot licking from NBC but not ABC. Are they all lining up now to kiss the ring?
Let's hope lsiberian is right and ABC will do some reporting rather than a ra ra editorial. I'm not holding my breath though, since ABC is broadcasting directly from the whitehouse.

Cradle to grave. Why not? After all, aren't we the greatest nation on earth? (Or....used to be. How DID we ever get there without big government? This must be what this promised "change you can believe in" is all about.)

Anyone who thinks the government can run things such as the health care system better, more cost effectively, more efficiently, with less bias of apportionment .... hasn't been paying attention and maybe could use an MRI. Apply for one at your local U.S. MRI Patient Licensing Office.

Your assuming they will still allow MRI's.
I think you got that slogan wrong, wasn't it "change you won't believe".

Everyone gets healthcare...free or paid. No one is denied...anywhere. Everyone in this nation receives health care upon request. The problem is cost containment. You may be willing to pay more. Good for you. But let's figure out a way to pay less and get more service. Sound better? Throwing money toward a huge bureaucracy is not going to solve anything. Getting the uninsured out of emergency rooms and into clinics for ordinary care would be a good start.

Look at Medicaid.........

Fraud and Corruption abounds. Need a Wheelchair, wait is about four Months. All the Paperwork from Doctors and Fat lazy Clerks takes about that long.
They better fix their Status Quo System first, or we will Pay dearly.
Force a lot of Cost cuts and Restriction on the Health Care System and it will Stagnate and we end up with Healthcare like Canada and Great Brition. long waits and Second class care!
