5.1 Speaker Setup Question/Advice

I am looking to purchase my first surround sound system and I am trying to figure out how I would set up the speakers. The first thing is that moving around furniture is not an option as this configuration was the only way I could get everything in the room without blocking doorways/windows/heating vents.

I am planning on getting an Onkyo S7409 HTiB because at this point in time I do not want to invest in piecing together a system (that will wait until I get my own place with a room designed for a home theater set up)

I am thinking the Center would sit on the TV stand directly below the TV. The Front Left would be on a small table in the corner of the room while the Front Right would sit on the top of a shelf I have on that wall (both would be 3'-4' off the floor). The Surround Left I am planning to mount on the wall so it is at a 90 degree angle to the TV while the Surround Right will be on a shelf on the wall angled slightly so the sound does not go directly into other items sitting on the other end of the shelf. Both of the surround speakers would be about 5' off the floor. The Sub would sit on the floor between the TV stand and the Front Left speaker.

Please let me know if I have the right idea.

Thanks for any assistance.

The sub is the only x-factor. People seem to like to choose a spot based on where they *think* it goes, but reality dictates that it isn't that simple. Will it work there? Probably, but I'd start with it in the lower left corner. Other than that, it does look like a good starting point, or the lower right corner near the listening position.
