Open the P153's box to prove that you have looked at them and all that and you are not happy with it.

Then put the P153 back in it's original boxes. Then print the UPS label (paid by Amazon) and clear tape the UPS label on the box. Then take it to UPS and get a receipt just in case.

Wow, that is excellent customer service. Looks like I will order the p163 today and use the 153 until the 163 arrives then return the 153. It shouldn't take very long with two day shipping.

I really like the performance of the p163's. I've only had a chance to hook them up in a 2.0 set up with an old pioneer receiver using RCA cable connections with very thin cheap speaker wire and while playing movies that i've seen before I've picked up on so many more sounds. Also, while playing COD black ops which isn't even known for good audio quality. The game sounds completely different and is an overall much better experience.

I can't wait to hear what it sounds like once everything is set up. Thanks to everyone here for working with me and helping me make the right decisions!

You won't find many hardcore speaker measurements on speakers in this price range, but Soundstage/Canadian NRC measured the P162. Accurate flat on-axis and off-axis FR, if you like accurate sound and all.

I've listened to the P163 as well. Very clear sounding. At $85 each, they are best bang for the buck IMO.

The $415 Elemental Designs a2-300 is no doubt the least expensive "true" subwoofer you can get.

The other true subwoofer is the Rythmik FV12, but it is $500 + $66 shipping.

I'm sure you will be very pleased with the a2-300.

Being able to play a clean, tight, accurate 20Hz signal @ no more than -3dB from the reference 90dB @ 2 meters away.

A lot of subwoofers claim this, but a lot of them fall short.

With that being said, I don't think you need to play a 20Hz signal to sound great. A lot of bass is from 30Hz-60Hz, so many subwoofers that can play down to 30Hz @ -3dB is OK IMO.

So I'm very pleased with my setup and I am just waiting for the subwoofer to make everything complete. I've been tinkering around with settings to get everything right, but I am having a couple issues I cant seem to resolve.

Coming from the front right and left speakers there is a static noise almost like snow when audio is playing and when it is not playing. I dont know exactly what I am doing wrong. When I mess with the speaker settings and turn off Dynamic Eq it will go away, but then out of nowhere it will come back.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out with this problem? Thank you!
