Watched War of the Rohirrim in Dolby Cinema. It is very well done, maybe as well laid out as any of the other LotR films. Animation is good, voice acting is good, but where it really impressed was the audio. There was some Atmos activity, but it was the bass that was really fun in the battle scenes. I may need to pick this one up.

Story is maybe a bit expected, but good. I think this may be where it stumbles and why it isn't doing well in the box office. It is like a standalone story, though it has ties with everything, it doesn't come across as something people were really looking to answer questions about. It almost mentions this itself in the beginning, which sets the wrong tone: "If you are looking for songs written about the heroes of this story, you will find none" or something to that effect. We liked it, but I doubt we will see a follow up to it.

The Wild Robot-4k Disc

-The animation for this movie was top notch. I didn't see it in theaters, and just going off of the trailer I wasn't too sure about this movie, but after watching it on 4k disc it is definitely one of the best animated movies of the year.

SQ- The movie does have a Dolby Atmos soundtrack. It's a pretty solid track. I wouldn't say it was "demo worthy" by any means. It does take place outside in the woods, so nature sounds are going on all over the place. There are some scenes in a space ship where the heights were activated. This wasn't a bass heavy movie, but the bass that was used, mixed nicely with everything else.

Overall- I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I didn't know anything going into it other than seeing the trailer months ago. I watched it with the family and they all loved it. There was nothing really new in the story dept, but how it was executed was great. Do yourself a favor and try to see this movie! I'm giving it a solid 9/10 for a rating. :)
