Hey at least your sub isn't active in PD mode!!!!!!!!!
That is only 50% true.

With built-in subs, they are always active.:D

Actually, in Pure Direct Mode 5.1, your dedicated Sub (0.1) is active.

Only in 2.0 Pure Direct is the dedicated Sub NOT active.

See, the reason is I'm not using a receiver or Pre-pro for my Denon DVD-3800BDCI or DVD-5910CI.

In a receiver or pre-pro, Pure Direct is only for 2.0 Channel.

But in the Source Players, Pure Direct can be 2.0 or 5.1.

You have the most jacked up set-up in the world though!

Ok, headed to the store to return the 3800. I will return with the 3808 or the Elite SC 05. I am leaning towards the Denon but we will see which one I end up with.

Well that was interesting. I went to BB and found a guy who knows way more than me about this stuff. Never would have thought that would happen in a million years!

My dealer tried to be a prick and said he wouldn't take the 3800 back since he gave me such a good price on it. I dang near had to beat his ***!

The price was marked at $1,699.98 but I had a 12% off coupon from BB for my B-Day. I handed it to the young man (TCU student) and he laughed and said, "I was going to give it to you for $1250". I shook his hand, paid him and walked out with a smile.

Wow can't believe BB gave you a deal. They never give deals like that where I live unless you buy a lot of stuff and even then it's hard to get them to come down in price.

Hey Hey a 3808 for only 1250:eek::D Very nice.

Well at least you have had alot of practice lately so you should have it hooked up in no time.

Audessey Pro XT has up to 8 measurement points. I'll be interested to know if you can save more than one or if it is like the Onkyo's its either on or off.

Congrats on your latest "deal"! I eagerly await the list of shortcomings, dolled out about once a day until you return it for the Elite. :D

Just kidding, my man! Seriously, congrats on that. Seems like you got a real nice price on a great unit.
