You don't need a sub for 2 channel. I have never owned a sub for 2 ch and have always had bookshelf.
For me, I enjoy the way a properly set up sub fills in the low end regardless the number of speakers being used. Different strokes.

Klipsch are nice speakers heresy or the cornwall i think my prob is that i have to get bookshelves for now due to space limitations. Due to that using smaller speakers i will need a sub. for to achieve those lower octaves. Ebay is a possible option but since i live outside of the US shipping sometimes is a hassle. Plus i kinda like buying stuff new just my preference
My sister had that system ( NAD/Klipsch ) in her bedroom for a while , Hersey's will go anywhere and sound good .
I hear you , i live outside the US also and try ship equipment in , but i still buy , when the price is right ( there is poster on here selling a TFM-35 for $300 , im tempted ) .
I do beleive , if you setup properly 2 channel only needs 2 speakers without a sub , thats why i have been advising you to go with the NAD over all the rest . I have 2 - 2 channel systems , 1 amp ( in my bedroom ) is only 38w x 2 rms and it does not need a sub , my other powered by a Bryston 4b .

I ve never listin to the RF-82's , but look like a capable speaker ( they look very nice , good choice ) .
Give them a try with a good power amp( NAD ) with out a sub in 2channel , you mightbe surprised .

i have a question for you 2 channel users ... how do you balance the left and right channels - how do you balance the sub with the speakers ... only by ear?

I center my speakers 1st by measurment then adjust by ear .
I use Sonic Holigram and SDA , so speaker placement is very important for the sweet spot .
