10 years ago I had the 3606 and it had 7.1 pre-outs. I'm sure in a few iterations only the top one or two will have them.

Considering the 3000 and 3100 didn't have pre-outs, but, 4000 and 4100 did, I'd expect in this generation 4200 and above will have them.

The link I posted above has a picture of the 4200 rear panel. We got pre-outs.

Actually even the X3100 has 7.2 preouts. So now I think chances are good that ADTG could be right, that the 3200 and up will have multi-channel preouts. That would be really welcoming news because in the past if we want MC pre outs we would have to choose from the top 2 models (except for the Europeans who could go one model lower). Now more than likely we will have 4, or 6 this year if you include the 3100 and 4100 to choose from.

I just has a flashback... The reason I went with the 4000 instead of 3000 was for XT32 + SubEQ and not lack of pre-outs on the latter.

Excellent point!! I won't recommend the 3100 regardless because of the lack of XT32 and Sub EQ HT. Unless one has a close to perfect room, highly adjustable subs and is willing to spend hours setting subs up manually, the Sub EQ HT should be a must have feature to most people. Let's hope the 3200 comes with XT32 and Sub EQ HT but I highly doubt that..

I don't have an official picture of the X3200 yet, but I found this pic of the X3200 on the web.

Looks like it has 7.2 pre-outs like the X3100. So I think the X3200, X4200, X6200, & X7200 have MCH pre-outs.

But only the X4200, X6200, & X7200 have XT32.

Found a back panel of the X4200w. It definitely has MCH pre-outs & 3 HDMI outputs.
