I wish the price point for pre-outs would go down. Or they'd at least give an LCR out on the lower models .
It would be nice if they could make the 2xxx models have pre-outs, instead of having to get the 3xxx models.

That would be a huge day. :)

Was at Magnolia Theater yesterday chatting with a salesman, and when I asked if the Denon AVR-X7200WA had a toroidal transformer, he said no, that it's predecessor the AVR-4520 did, so D&M Holdings has evidently decided to keep the good stuff for it's Marantz receivers. Too bad they're so God awful ugly.

I've been back and forth looking for X4000/X4100... you think the price will dip fairly significantly (or just a few $50's) once the 4200's get released?

I think the lowest they will drop is to about $750.

AVR-X5200W is not mentioned and has the "Audyssey Platinum" which is how they are "rebranding" Audyssey MultEQ XT32. It's MSRP is $2000 though, compared to some of the others that only have "silver" which i believ was only MultEQ XT (not 32) for less than half. I'll be looking to score a deal on a used/refurb AVR-X5200W i think.

Oh yeah i wasnt replying to you, i was basically replying to the entire thread. It's showingthe lineup for 2015-2016 and they didnt mention the model that I thought was the most interesting - the 5200.

Does the 4200 offer multi channel preouts?
I skim articles and always wonder the same thing. There's like a dollar figure you have to cross to get preouts and that's right where it's a for me but with 10 year old technology. I should have a 4311 in 6 more years.

Does the 4200 offer multi channel preouts?
It seems like Denon doesn't list MCH pre-outs as a "feature" even on the X6200. Right now I assume the 4200, 6200, & 7200 have MCH pre-outs. But without seeing the rear panels on the 4200, I am not 100%. Only 99%. :)

Considering the 3000 and 3100 didn't have pre-outs, but, 4000 and 4100 did, I'd expect in this generation 4200 and above will have them.

The link I posted above has a picture of the 4200 rear panel. We got pre-outs.
