Not to defend Merriman, but Tequila is a nut job and would drive most anybody crazy. Mixing her personality and his is a mushroom cloud waiting to happen. I'd bet the league is handing him a cup to pee in on Tuesday to check for 'roids. charger fans better hope it's clean, as without him their defense is average at best, as last year proved.

No doubt the weakest division in pro football. With all the mess in Denver, they also get to add brutal non-division schedule. Kansas City has no offensive line, and as for the Raiders, well, as long as Al is still breathing it's a no-hoper.

To the Broncos credit, Marshall acted like a jerk at practice... but McDaniels has clearly lost that team.
Btw- for a laugh check out Marshall's rap sheet on Wikipedia... that guy is no boy scout.

Marshall was reinstated on Sunday. The kid has some serious issues, no doubt about it. He won the Atlanta court case last month because his ex-girlfriend tried to shake him down in a letter by threatening to talk if she didn't get $100K.
The Broncos don't want to trade him because his value right now is nothing compared to his talent.
McDaniel has made the mistake of thinking that if he acts like Bellichik, he'll automatically have the players support. His only way out now is to find a way to win games. The owner should have hired Spagnola as head coach, that way last years #3 offense would have stayed intact.

They could have avoided this problem altogether by not firing Shanahan. I understand the need to avoid complacency and not to keep a coach just because he won for you a decade ago, but the team was clearly in the reloading process (it's harder to completely rebuild when you are continuously drafting at the very bottom of the draft) and I think he had the team well positioned to make a run this year. The owner and McDaniels have helped screw that up....

The owner of the restaurant that they were at that night confirms that she was indeed drinking Tequila and Vodka.
We'll have to see how this pans out. I agree that battering women is wrong, but gimme a break, she's 4' 11" and weighs 93 pounds. How could a woman that small get "assaulted" by Merriman and not have a single mark to show from it?
What bothers me is that SM would be so stupid to hang out with a circus act like her in the first place.

Well it will take time for the new coach to get his guys, but sometimes a swift kick in the rear is what a team needs to get over a hump. The Broncos were good, but I honestly didn't see a title in their near future and that's all people want these days anyway. I give the coach a chance it's not his fault they fired Mike.

When I was watching the Bears vs Broncos pre-season game McDaniels looked like a scared, nervous child wandering the sidelines. I loved it when they showed him after Cutler drove his offense around 80-90 yards for a td.
The Buffalo Bills fired their OC last week, I do not have much faith in **** Jauron. If they do poorly this year I am hoping for a coaching change. I would love to see either Shannahan or Marty
instead.

I don't know if all NFL teams do this, but apparently the Chargers have a tradition where the first round pick takes the whole team out for dinner. $14,000?!?!?! Yikes.

I think your offense is loaded, but so is your division. Jauron is a very good coach IMO. Buffalo isn't the job it used to be in the early 90s.
