Im sorry but why the HELL would you opt for a dodgy product from a dodgy manufacturer when there are so many options with much better track records. if your willing to risk your money on a product with a 50% faliure rate as stated then im sorry but your a fool. i am sorry to rant but it just makes no sense!!!! and coupled with the problems people had with refunds and recieving a product, AV123 seems a poor choice.

AV123 has newly modifidied amps being shipped shortly that they say should resolve the amp problem, however IMO the reliability of these new amps is still uncertain since nobody has received them yet and have not been put under normal use for long periods of time. I don't think you can know the reliability of these new amps till later on in the year. Until then caveat emptor.

Yeah I went through five Xbox 360s through the MS repair cycle. They eventually stepped up and sent me a new console which I'm still using. Do I regret buying the 360? No I got tremendous value for my money.

For me to get the same performance as the PB-13 Ultra by getting dual MFW-15s shipped for $500 less than the Ultra is a no brainer. The new amps were made in Colorado and are 50 watts more powerful than the original ones. I have faith that they will hold up.

I wouldn't say the Xbox 360 offers tremendous value, however the PS3 does. The thing tha makes the 360 a great gaming console is the games themselves and the controller. The 360's hardware on the other hand is a big pile of crap.

Im harsher, the first time the xbox failed i would have got a refund and got a ps3 (i would of got a ps3 in the first place) i would definitely not put up with five repairs, i did this with a cerwin sub and finally got a different sub, but never again (at least CV were upfront and quick to replace). If it was only the amp issue then maybe, but considering all other problems within the company, no way!! anyway id gladly pay the extra 500 for the SVS, just to know its reliable and has the backup if something isnt right. my 2 cents!!!

For everyone else who had something useful to contribute, thank you. The decision was not easy. I was torn between the SVS PB-12 Plus and the MFW-15s. Although av123 has had significant problems, I love their products. I own several Rocket speakers (RS1000s, RSC200, RS250MkIIs and RSS300s). They sound wonderful and look great. In the end, the MFW-15s look better (IMHO), cost significantly less and seem equal audio-wise to the PB-12 Plus. I own an older SVS cylinder sub, and like it too. In the end, the current deal on the MFW-15s was too good to pass up.

And this is why I feel no sympathy for the MANY people on these internet forums, who are complaining about poor product reliability/customer service/no receipt of product.
