Guys, i need a new receiver and my TV stand have 16" openings.

I've searched and can't find anything lower than 17"!!

I need a 5.1 at least!

Thank you for helping me!

Width, right?
Is that just in the front? Can you put it in from the back, and is it any wider in the back?
I don't know of anything off the top of my head that narrow, but it would concern me even if we did find one it might be too tight of a space and the receiver wouldn't be properly ventilated.

16" width

Unless someone else can come up with something, I'm not sure anything I know of will work. I thought maybe some digital receivers would fit, but the ones I checked- Panasonic, JVC, HK, were all 16.9" or wider, and over 17" deep. I think your depth is a problem too. The receivers with the least depth I know of are Marantz, but they're still 15 3/16"+.

Yah, depth won't be an issue now that I see it.
Width though, still haven't found anything yet...

17" is the standard width for a normal sized home audio component. Maybe there are a few exception, but none that I'm aware of. Are there any mini systems that offer 5.1?

Can your stand be disassembled? If you really need to make something fit, I would be tempted to remove all but the middle & end vertical supports.
