Hello,

i am currently researching on doing a diy 15 inch sub to match my Phase Technology Octave 15 inch sub. This way i can have one on each side of the room.

I came accross a Klipsch Bash Sub 12 Amplifier and was thinking about using this with a Dayton QT385-4 15" Quatro Subwoofer or a Dayton RSS390HF-4 15" Reference HF. Also how would using this Bash Sub 12 amp compare to the Bash 300 amp on PE? THe specs i came up with are 300 watts rms. But it does not specify if it is at 4 or 8 ohm.

Also i am planning on making the box the same size as my current sub. It will be made out of 3/4 inch particle board. Dimensions are 20"h x 18"w x18"d. What would be the best way to get a nice piano black finish?

Thank you

You can't arbitrarily just make the box the same size as your other box. every driver requires the correct size box determined by its Thiel/Small parameters. Some drivers need to be sealed, and others ported. a few can be either.

I have pu together a collection of sub woofer alignments on my website. That will give you the idea.
