Official Denon AVR-5805 Review Support Thread

After trying L/R it still wouldn't work properly. Audyssey kept neutering the bass output to the point I was wondering if the subs were actually on! Soon as I ran it for one sub the bass output was restored but it's still rolling off the output below 20hz. THX BGC is off so I suspect a fault...

Thanks Gene! I'll give the L/R setting a whirl and see how it works out.

Official Denon AVR-5805 Review Support Thread

Hi MPK! I sometimes get tempted to part with it but somehow never follow through as it still sounds great. I had considered trying the F/B/LFE setting but I'm not sure if Audyssey would throw a wobbler looking for a sub that isn't there. Additionally, if the LFE isn't being played by the third...

Official Denon AVR-5805 Review Support Thread

Appreciate this is an old thread but I've a query regarding dual subwoofer setup. One sub is at the front of the room and the other at the back. The Denon has several options for two subs including L/R, F/B & LFE/MAIN. I know the F/B option is flawed (sends only LFE to the B sub). I want both...

    Denon AVP-A1HDCI / POA-A1HDCI Review Support Thread

If it's like other Denon models you'll need to be sending it a signal (Dolby Digital etc) when you go to adjust the Surround Parameters or the LFE adjustment doesn't appear. :)

    AVR4806 to DVD5910 with Denonlink

Yes. It won't let you change some options when there's a disc in there.

    Denon AVR-4308CI First Look

Audyssey also does the following:- http://www.audyssey.com/multEQ.html "How does MultEQ measure your Calculated System room differently? MultEQ looks at patterns in the time domain responses and classifies them into clusters based on the similarities in those patterns, typically in 3-5...

    Denon AVR-5805 Audyssey MultEQ XT

As I mentioned before. Change the setting from ALL to ASSIGN and you can then freely assign which EQ mode you want to each listening mode etc. E.g. Audyssey for Dolby Digital, Flat for Dolby PLIIx Music etc etc. Seems that the UK/Euro version of the 5805 (the A1XV) works differently with...

    Denon DVD-3930CI Review

You could, but that would kind of defeat the point of having a player with the Realta chip. Having had a few Video Processor's, my A1XVA (5910CI) outclasses the lot of them.

    Denon DVD-3930CI Review

Whilst it can output that via HDMI, your plasma's HDMI blade won't accept it. They're very limited in the signals/resolutions that they can accept.

    Denon DVD-3930CI Review

The HDMI blade doesn't accept a 480i (or 576i) signal. The problem isn't the 3930CI. The Component/VGA input on Panasonic Plasma's accept way more signals/resolutions.

    Denon AVR-5805 Audyssey MultEQ XT

The EQ indicator will be green if you select Audyssey as the EQ setting but will be red for the other EQ settings (Flat, Front, Manual) even if you haven't changed any of the channel levels etc. Doublecheck what EQ mode you're in by either pressing the STATUS or ROOM EQ buttons on the front...

Denon 3805 Delay time setting...Need help

Change the measurements to Meters and you can then set the delay time/distances down to 1cm increments. You'll need to change the Step from 0.1m to 0.01m though. Can convert your feet measurements to meters here:- http://www.onlineconversion.com/length_common.htm

Denon 3805 vs. 3806 and HDMI

The 3806 will passthrough 1080P via HDMI. It has analog to HDMI conversion but with no scaling or deinterlacing so you'll get 480i analog in, 480i HDMI out, 480p analog in, 480p HDMI out, 720p analog in, 720p HDMI out etc etc. The output resolution will always be the same as the input...

3806 - Audio Signals thru HDMI cable

Page 20 of the manual mentions it. :) Assume the bit in the manual you're referring to is the Troubleshooting table part at the back? That part means if you're not getting HDMI audio then check the settings in the setup menu, not the fact that it can't play them. Manual is a bit unclear sometimes.

    Denon avc a11 sr

The A11SR is the UK/Euro/Australian version of the 4802 not the 3805. ;) If you're looking to improve on it then ideally you need to check out the A11XVA (4806CI).
