Do I need to duplicate DVD setup in receiver?

I have found that when using direct input from my Denon 2910 (6 channel input on my RX-V2200 reciever), if I set all speakers to large, I get very little output from my subwoofer. But, when I set the rear surround speakers to small the subwoofer comes to life big time. I have also found the...

Denon vs Yamaha Receiver/DVD- need help

Here's my 2 cents. They are both very good combinations, but IMO the 3806 is a better than the 5990. The looks alone of the 3806 to me are much better. Cheers:)

    Help a Girl Out Again . . . I don't like my TV.

If it looks better to you the user, then you made the right choice. Sony makes good TV's. As for the rainbow effect with DLP, it has been remedied. It is a thing of the past. Congrats. Kelly

    new amplifier

The RX-V3300 has a very substantial amplifier section. It has the same amp section as the old flagship reciever RX-V1. I'm not saying that external amps are a waste, but you've already got a darn good one on board. That's why the RX-V3300 weighs so much, like 48 lbs or so. I would wonder if...

Unfortunately, they are not quite here yet, but we do hope to have them in stock...

Amps or Recievers Postulate or Question

Here are some of my thouhghts (questions) on Amps vs. Recievers. 1. If a person has a decent quality AV reciever and has more than one subwoofer or speakers with built in subwoofers, is there really any sonic advantage to seperate amplification? 1a. Only low frequencies near DC require, or...

    Yamaha RX v2600, 4600 or Outlaw 990?

I don't think a seperate preamp would be any better. Both those recievers have stupendous sound and processing capabilities, IMO. The staff at this site and many of the educated readers here can probably provide further and more indepth feedback. I don't belive that the Yamaha's will...

    Yamaha RX v2600, 4600 or Outlaw 990?

If it were my money, I'd go with the Yamaha RX-V4600. If my amp had balanced inputs, I'd go with the Outlaw 990. This is just my opinion!

    Receiver choice

I'd buy the Yamaha RX-V2600 ,since I have a seven channel amp. I'f I did not have the seven channel amp, I'd buy the Denon 3806. ;)
