The Denon AVR-X4000 looks like the one to have! It looks like a hell of a value to me!

Probably so- you can't see them in the 4520- as they are covered by PC boards and such.

The Denon AVR-4520ci has 5 each stereo pair of BB PCM1795 32-Bit, 192-kHz DACs. That's a total of 10 that I was able to observe.

Watch out, what about the 5805 that Gene had? It's approximately 1.64 times better than my 4520 though!

The engineering and production expertise is unreal! You can bet that the Marantz has a super low noise floor and will bring out the details in audio and visual.

I never asked Denon. I will probably purchase the service manual for the AVR-4520ci, even though I have the factory 3 year warranty. If -or when I do- I'll post it! Denon makes some real fine sounding amps- no doubt. Personally, I like them better than my Yamaha AVR's that I've had- lets don't...

The Denon sounds very good at lower listening levels- in fact just a good- but definitely not better! My speakers are all large- as Audyssey 32 verifies. That's where the Denon AVR-4520 is limited- at higher listening levels- it compresses! It has roughly 30,000 uF capacitance total for seven...

I am using the AVR-4520ci amps, and FYI they are very good! I took it out of pre-amp mode in order to test the sound quality of the AVR's amps.
