What would the (recognizable)real advantage of purchasing a Denon Bluray player with Denon Link be, if used with my Denon AVR-4520ci. Would I get more bang for the buck with an Oppo high end Bluray player?

My AVR's and amp get pretty hot to the touch. ie, Denon AVR-4520ci, Denon AVR-3312ci, Yamaha RX-V2200 Outlaw Model 770 I have a old Carver M-1.0t that stays cool- SMPS. The Denon AVR-4520 does not get very warm in pre-amp mode only. Class AB amps run hot. Class A amps run very hot.

I referenced the email from Denon support, and their response was indeed 2 ea. 15,000 uf @ 71 V capacitors on the Denon AVR-A100. I don't suspect that it was in error. But, I don't have the AVR-A100 anymore.

Congratulations on the purchase of the AV-8801! That is nearly the same as the AVR-4520. Did you sell the AV-7005?

In addition, the Denon AVR-4520 utilizes custom-made massive capacitors and Selected Schottky Barrier Diodes which provide high burst power.

That's an awesome amp! If I had the speakers and room - they'd be in my dedicated stereo room. I'd probably use them with the Emotiva XSP-1. I'd probably go with massive electro static speakers. Anyway, nice amps and review. Now back to reality for me- LOL.

I could guess also- ie- aluminum heat sinks and fans? But the 3312 and 4520 both have very good amps and are pretty light. I'm not sure- but I would guess that the 36 lb 4520 can easily hang with the 55 lb Onkyo any day!
