I've had a AVR-4520ci for some time now and am totally pleased with this made in Japan Denon! You should treat some bad reviews in Amazon with caution! There are a bunch of happy owners out there!

The Denon AVR-4520 is going to be replaced with a newer model soon. If you want the best bang for the buck grab one of the 4520's before they are gone. I have had one for a while now and it's amp and feature set are a marvel. It will out drive the heavier Onkyo's and come very close to the best...

I have 4 ea. IL10's. They float my boat! I use them in conjunction with Infinity Beta 50's and a Beta 360 center. They like a hefty amp much better!

I read the review in S and V today. It faired pretty well. It's not a bad AVR!

I went from the Integra DHC 80.2 to the Denon AVR 4520ci and have been very satisfied. The Integra may experience more reliability issues. As Peng and AcuDefTecGuy suggested, you might well be better off with Denon or Marantz!

Here's a closer look! The 4520 is made in Japan and lacks nothing in comparison. the 4520 is a better unit- without any doubt. Yes the cost bears deminishing returns- but it will smoke the x4000 any day...

Understandable mistake- I just happen to own the 4520.

The AVR-4520ci has 9 amps vs. 7 on the X4000. You need 2 more amp channels to for 11.
