Peng, how does the Denon AVR-7200WA compare to your MARANTZ AV8801 11.2-Ch Networking A/V Preamp/Processor? Congrats by the way!

I have to use my Denon AVR-4520ci remote to perform the set up Audessy calibration on my Denon AVR-3312ci. The remote for the AVR-3312ci works fine otherwise! I will be dipped!:confused:

The Marantz SR8012 has yet to show up on the Denon website! Maybe they will wait for Denon's new flagship?

The power consumption printed on the back shows to be 800 W as near as I can tell. It's a little larger appx. 20 W than the Denon current flagship. That 20 W has to work with 11 channels vs. 9.

I suspect they are using a SMPS in them?

What size block capacitors are in the Marantz SR8012?

It sounds pretty good to me.

What country is it manufactured in?

There is an error in the review. This amp has 12 output transistors per channel. The review states that it has six.

The upgraded speakers are in the same location. Will it be of benefit to run Audyssey set up again?

The Onkyo is more bang for the buck, IMO!

Peng, when you change out your Marantz 8801 some day, I would be interested in purchasing it! Although, shipping from Ontario to Texas might be rough?

Why are you mentioning the 4520?

The bench tests at sound and vision revealed a lot. You need an external amp with this receiver, if you don't have efficient speakers.

The AVR-6300H could put out 65W x 11 channels. But that won't happen in real life! 750/11 = appx. 68W.

I read the review on the 1120 over at Secrets. I don't see any build quality advantage over Denon. Yamaha or Marantz or Pioneer for that matter. The back of the faceplate on the 1120 appears to be plastic. I think our Canadian manufacturing friend is fudging on this one! This is just my opinion.

Is subwoofer level matching recommended using Audyssey MultEQ XT32 room correction ?
